La nuova vita del club rossazzurro
La società Catania SSD a r.l. è stata costituita alle ore 9.30 di mercoledì 13 luglio 2022 ed è fiera e unica erede, sul piano ideale ed emotivo, di una realtà calcistica cittadina che divenne unicum societario già nel 1929 e ottenne i migliori risultati con il sodalizio fondato il 24 settembre 1946.
On March 19, 2023, at "Tomaselli" in Caltanissetta, the red-blue team mathematically secured promotion to Serie C with 6 rounds in advance; at the end of the first season of the new era of the club, concluded with 88 points, Catania set an absolute record for the fourth national football division: maximum lead over the second-placed team (+31). For Catania Women, an immediate "double" with the victory in the Eccellenza championship and promotion to Serie C combined with winning the regional Amateur Cup.
Catania SSD becomes Catania Football Club
Wednesday, June 7, 2023, before the notary Grazia Manuela Banna, the extraordinary assembly of our club ordered the statutory adjustment and the change of the company name, necessary operations for registration in the professional league. The Italian Football Federation has recognized the new name Catania Football Club.
On April 2, 2024, at “Massimino,” Catania Football Club, just 21 months after its foundation, won the first national professional trophy in the history of the rossazzurra team, the Serie C Italian Cup: a victory of great prestige that certifies the progress of an extremely ambitious program.
"I am firmly convinced of the potential of the city of Catania, which has great international appeal, and of the relevant prospects of the club which do not only refer to the first team. The youth sector, women's department and social activities, in our idea, are elements important because growth passes through the development of the entire movement, with attention to the territory that begins with dealing with the sports education of our children. My family's origins are Sicilian and I feel a strong desire to create new opportunities here. we are aware of having to invest a lot and well to bring Catania back to where it deserves to be"
