Catania took to the field in the afternoon at the Bianconi Sports Centre in Norcia for a test against Andrea Mandorlini’s Ravenna, with the Rossazzurri claiming a 3–2 victory.
Ravenna took the lead in the 18th minute through Spini, but coach Longo’s side responded quickly and equalised in the 30th minute thanks to Corbari. During the first half of the second period, Catania made the decisive push, scoring twice within ten minutes, first through Rolfini and then Liguori. Ravenna pulled one back a few minutes from time through Orellana.
