The members of the Catania FC Board of Directors regret to announce that the Club will not be able to meet today’s deadline for submitting the bank guarantee, due to a number of technical and bureaucratic issues, also arising from the deadline being brought forward by three days because of the Coppa Italia match against Vicenza.
The Board has made every effort to accelerate the resolution of these matters in order to meet the deadline, unfortunately without success. The focus remains on August 10, the original deadline for the bank guarantee, and work is continuing around the clock to ensure it is met.
The Club is aware that failing to meet today’s deadline is not the outcome that the people of Catania, the Rossazzurri supporters and Italian football were expecting. However, a number of unforeseen issues and obstacles arose during the process, making it impossible to bring forward the submission of the bank guarantee.
