Joint training and match, Assisi-Catania 0-7 in 70 minutes

Catania took to the field this afternoon for their first joint training session of the pre-season. About 200 spectators attended the test against newly promoted Assisi in Prima Categoria at the "Degli Ulivi-Enzo Boccacci" stadium. At the end of the 70 minutes of play, divided into two 35-minute halves, the scrimmage concluded with a 7-0 victory for the team led by Mimmo Toscano. 

In the initial half, a four-goal spree by the rossazzurri: Quaini's assist allowed Bouah to score the first goal of the Etnean pre-season with a header; Castellini doubled the lead, again with a header, capitalizing on Di Tacchio's corner kick; D'Andrea took advantage of Bouah's aerial pass from Sturaro's opening, and finally, Luperini, set up by D'Andrea, rounded the goalkeeper and scored. In the second half, three more goals: D'Andrea first set up Carpani in the box for the fifth goal and then scored his brace, finishing Quaini's cross from the end line; finally, Popovic's successful tap-in after D'Andrea hit the post.
