Catania Football Club announces that it has definitively acquired from Carrarese Calcio the right to the sports performances of the footballer Matteo Di Gennaro, who has signed a three-year contract with our club, binding himself to our society until June 30, 2027.
The central defender, born on June 2, 1994 in Sant'Elpidio a Mare (Fermo), has achieved three promotions from Serie C to Serie B: in 2023/24 with Carrarese, scoring 4 goals in the 37 appearances combined between the league and playoffs; in 2022/23 with Feralpisalò, as winners of Group B; in 2020/21 with Alessandria, winning the playoffs.
With the team from Piedmont and Livorno, the new red-blue player has a total of 75 appearances in Serie B, scoring 4 goals.
Having grown in football within the Primavera teams of Parma and Ascoli, with the latter he started his career in Serie C, a category in which he also played with Renate and Triestina.
