Catania Football Club announces that it has acquired on a permanent basis from Ternana Calcio the sporting rights of the footballer Francesco Di Tacchio, who has signed a two-year contract with our club, binding himself to our society until June 30, 2026.
In the 2023/24 season, in the Serie B, the midfielder born on April 20, 1990 in Trani made 33 appearances with Ascoli, a club where he spent part of his journey in the Primavera championship, completed with Fiorentina; he also has experience with the national youth teams under 19 and under 20.
Throughout his career, he has achieved three promotions and lived subsequent seasons in the higher tier: Serie A with Salernitana in 2021; in Serie B with Virtus Entella in 2014 and with Pisa, after the playoffs, in 2016.
In the Serie B, the new red-and-blue player has played 311 games, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists, also wearing the shirts of Frosinone, Juve Stabia, Avellino, and Ternana.
Additionally, he played for Perugia in Serie C.
