With Official Communication 2/CIT today, the Italian Professional Football League has announced the program for the second elimination round of the 2024/2025 Serie C Coppa Italia: on Sunday, August 18, at 9:00 PM, Catania will face the winner of the Crotone-Messina match at the "Massimino" stadium.
Operating mode
The Second Elimination Round takes place in a single match with direct elimination. The clubs that have scored the most goals will qualify for the next round.
In case of a tie in the number of goals scored at the end of the match, two 15-minute extra time periods will be played.
If the tie persists even at the end of the two extra time periods, the referee will proceed with penalty kicks, following the procedures outlined in the "Laws of the Game of Association Football".
